When you arrive at White Rock it feels like you are in paradise. The
view from the Villa, across the lake, is simply stunning. The Villa is
clean, extremely well equipped and only 5 minutes walk from a fantastic
restaurant. If you want to relax, and escape from all the tourists, it
is well worth a visit.
The villa was very spacious with balconies to enjoy the spectacular
views. Very well furnished and even a nice welcome pack in the fridge.
The owner arranged his agent to meet us at the airport and during our
stay always available to help. The area is very convenient for taking
different activities including parasailing, white water rafting or just
seeing the incredible wildlife. The local people could not have been
friendlier or more helpful. We have been to Turkey before and will
definitely go again. The villa was fantastic and comes highly
The hire car company recommended, was very efficient and was waiting to
take us up to the villa, this was essential as trying to find the villa
for the first time particularly in the dark would be challenging. The
property has everything you could wish for and is a spacious 4 bedroom
villa with very high quality fixtures and fittings. It has a lovely pool
and stunning views with lots of places for sunbathing and shaded areas
demanded by my better half. A fantastic restaurant is only a short
stroll through lush gardens with a mountain stream running through.
There are several activities available in the valley suitable for all
ages and the staff are very helpful and friendly. A car is essential to
get out and about to many of the other busy tourist attractions along
the coast. Gocek has a great Marina and lots of shops and eateries.
Fethiye is a bit further but well worth a day trip or two.
Dalayan is a great day out particularly on Saturday which is Market day.
Boat trips for a few pounds depart regularly for Turtle beach, the
forty minute trip along the river and through reed beds would be worth
five times the public boat tariff charged. Avoid taking a private hire
unless you are a party of six or more and bargain hard if you decide to
treat yourself to your own boat.
Don’t forget to visit Dalaman town, it is well worth a stroll along the
main street which is a typically Turkish farming town with lots of
ordinary shops for everyday living.
It is best to hire a car as Akkaya Gardens and Lakeside are off the main
road and up in the hills. The setting is beautiful and the hills are
clad in remarkably light green pine trees.
The accommodation is on the edge of the site, and is peaceful and faces
the lovely hills and lake. There are steps up to the pool and No 16 has a
set of its own sun-loungers there and at the villa. The nearby
restaurant is unique, having tables supported up in the trees as well as
in the restaurant gardens. The food is excellent and the waiters
attentive and helpful. Each year further facilities are opened and it is
a joy to return. You can make it a quiet, relaxing holiday or drive out
to nearby resorts and attractions or enjoy driving through the
countryside or going shopping. No 16 is an excellent base for either
type of holiday. The owner can put you in touch with a good car rental
company and is most helpful both with your preparations and your time in
the very well supplied and comfortable accommodation.
A beautifully appointed Villa has everything provided to a high
standard, with very comfortable beds, lovely crisp white linen and all
rooms spacious and very well furnished. Nestling in a quiet hillside
location with superb scenery for miles around. The private swimming pool
has comfortable loungers and plenty of space to relax. Each floor has a
balcony with amazing views. A short stroll through a fairy tale
tropical garden takes you to Akkaya Gardens restaurant, a perfect way to
end the day. We have spent several very happy family holidays there.
We were met at the airport late at night with our hire car and taken
directly to the villa to ensure we found our way. The drive from the
airport was approx 25 mins and was great not having to get a transfer
bus. We would highly recommend a hire car as you can then get about and
visit local areas and attractions.
Upon arrival at the villa we were all blown by it. The full marble
flooring and staircase gives it a real wow factor. The private pool and
Bar B Que is for exclusive use of the Villa. With stunning views across
the valley, hills and lake all adds to the experience.
The Villa itself is finished to a very high standard, the kitchen has
all the mod-cons including a dish washer. The bedrooms are large and
there is plenty of space to pack away clothes and cases. The icing on
the top is the solarium, early evening drinks were often enjoyed in the
relaxed surroundings. There is a very comfy lounge area and a couple of
large balcony areas with table and chairs to enjoy food and drinks as
There is a restaurant close by which is a 5-6 mins walk. There are two
ways to get there, the first by walking along the quiet road and the
second which we preferred was via the lush gardens next to the stream.
The restaurant is set in magical surroundings, with frogs and fish in
the pond and you can sit up in the trees in the “bird nests” this was
really fun and the staff were really friendly and made you feel very
Our group consisted of 5 people, 2 couples and 1 single traveller. There
was no sense of overcrowding as the villa is big and can easily cater
for that number.
We stayed for 2 weeks and it was our most relaxing 2 week break to date, just wish we could have stayed longer!
I would highly recommend the Villa, everything was made easy by the
management company, they even arranged a boat trip on the lake which
included lunch and was purely for the 5 of us. I did a spot of fishing
and caught a few whilst enjoying a cold beer.
This villa really is in an idyllic location, if you are looking to relax
and get away from life's stresses then this is the place for you.

Whiterock delivers everything it promises and more. It is truly a home
from home set in the lush countryside of the Akkaya valley which though
less than 30 minutes from Dalaman airport provides a gorgeous, quiet
mountain valley location with excellent views. Whiterock is generously
furnished and in excellent general condition. All services (inc. A/C)
work very efficiently, though Turkish power supply can be interrupted
from time to time at peak periods.
The terraces and pool are spectacular and do take a walk along the
footpath to the Akkaya Gardens restaurant where the food is excellent,
reasonable and the service friendly and efficient.
